seen these in canada, popular addon to some of the bigger
saloons nerver mind suvs.

many keep the plough mount on all year complete with
auxilary headlights and indicators, bit like a nudge bar
where the plough might hide the factory lights.

last winter our local council had guys stood in the back
of transit tippers shovelling out grit as make shift gritters,
hmm very hse....

plenty of snow on the hills around here Jim, and sleeting as I type.

regards bri

A bit of hail but that's all for us yesterday and just raining today. No real long range forecasts available that I've seen. Hope we get a good dose of the white stuff this winter.

according to the fine print of UK law, a vehicle with a fitted snow plough can run on red diesel on the public highways :augie

8.10 Snow clearing vehicles

A vehicle is an excepted vehicle when it is being used to clear snow from public roads by means of a snow plough or similar device (whether or not forming part of the vehicle) or when it is travelling to or from the place where it is to be or has been used for that purpose.

I think the bit in brackets is the important bit:clap:clap
