hi all well driving to work in pontrilas i was passing through ross on wye on monday there were quite a few floods back roads were like rivers loads of cars broke down all round my mav sailed straight through it all great so i thought then at lunch time i found my exhaust tail pipe had been ripped off the middle box and now to start the car i have to hit the starter motor with a hammer do i need a new starter motor or can it be stripped and fixed thanks darryl

The starters do suffer from water dunkings, I've done a few now
Take it off and clean then regrease and it'll probably be fine :thumbs
While you're there check the fat cable from battery to starter and earth leads etc :thumbs

I was changing them every 4-5 months.
