Checked my rear seat belt mountings after reading about possibility of rot on the forum.

They are totally gone and its m.o.t. is due now. Its going into garage on Monday to get em

welded up and have a new caliper fitted to passengers side cos I could not for the life of me get

the caliper bolts to free off...aaggghhhh...managed the drivers side no bother.

If anyone has had their seat belt mounts welded I was wondering if you could be bothered

to take a photo of your repaired mounts and post it for me ...so I know what they should

look like once done.

Cheers !!

Have a look in gallery, tzrs posted pics after he did his.

Terranosaurus also has photo's, he's posted links in several threads. I had mine done last year and it looks like the sills will need it this year. I have to say mine are not the most tidiest of patches that I've seen but how many times do I look under the arches?

Theres none with the threaded plate in place I'm afraid. Mine was totally rotten so to reproduce the threaded hole and spreader I brought some full harness mounting eye bolts as these come with the a tapped spreader plate - there isn't a repair panel and i couldn't get hold of anything universal. This seemed the best solution.

Cheers for that Terranosaurus...just hope my garage can sort something out for me.
