My sister has a 03 Micra she had 5 year she loves her micra never had any problems till now
Light came on MIL took it to a local MCC not sure why they do tyres exhausts in Yorkshire, Fitted new crankshaft sensor ok for about a month now its lacking in power she took it back. Only Guaranteed two week on the part. she not sure if it is the senor again because she left upset keep telling her to check first ps can I check the brain with paper clip same has T2

What else might it be that i can check on a petrol for lack of power. Ie Air flow sensor.

well, I think on these, the AFm is in the throttle body SO, id start checking the throttle body and clean, check the pedal/sensor and clean. Does it only happen when hot, or all the time?

if all the time, look at fuel pump, check the air filter as well in case that's wet/broken or something.

Stretched timing chain.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they're known in the trade for just that with that fault code.

Thanks guys

HUM I have googled yes lots of threads on Timing chain its only done 34,000 should she have timing chain done our could they be other issues

The other engines that are really bad for this are the Corsa chain driven units in the Corsa C's and D's which I've done and aren't too bad at all. You can get a full chain, sprocket, tensioner kit for under a hundred sheets trade.

Unfortunately/fortunately/strangely, I've never had the pleasure of doing a Micra one!
Seek and you will eventually find a garage that must have done a fair few and that will be the place to go, both in terms of sensible price and experience, so when enquiring, ask if they've done them before.
