Hello all.

I finally got me a pair of side steps off ebay for 95 terrano 2 LWB. However that is all I got, just 2 side steps. No fitting kit, bolts or whatever else is needed to fit them.

I have no idea how to fit them or what else is needed. So I would be very grateful if someone could tell me in blonde terms how to fit these and what else I need. Obviously I would then be eternally grateful:lol

Kelly you should just find there are three pairs of bolts either side of the truck, front middle and rear, on the main chassis members. The front and middle bolts go on to the side of the chassis member (with a small lug to locate the plate attached to the sidestep), while the rear has one hole on the side and one on top.....should be easy to find.

so just get the side steps so they are facing the right way with the top bolt fixing at the rear(you'll see what I mean) and you are nearly home and dry....

Then you just need to find some bolts to suit - they are standard metrics but not sure what size.....someome will no doubt tell us shortly....nothing to it honest. ;)

Not quite std but easily availbale they ae M12 x 1.25 (Metric fine) nt sure how lanog std are but 20mm or more woul do the job.

Cool,

Sounds easy enough. Will give it a go. As soon as it stops raining that is:(

Its not as easy as that, as 99% of places done hold the M12 x 1.25 (Metric fine) bolts..

happy hunting. phone around befor you go out, save your self some time and money..

If you go to a proper nut an bolt stockist rather than B&Q or a motor place you should find them ok. Try yellow pages or yell.com

Can't find any M12 x 1.25 on screw fix - they tend to be better for building trae than auto.

lacroupade - if you get stuck I can get you some, I'll be passing a place tomorrow morning.

Not needed thanks terra, but did you say ages ago you could supply those nasty white plastic panel poppers that always break when you take the door cards etc.. off?

Err yes I'll need to ahve a look at mine to work out which ones precisely but can do that tomorrow no problem.

Something like this one.

are they the genuine nissan ones or an after market set?
if they are nisssan ones they bolt straight onto the chassis(have got bolts if you need them as i'm breaking a terrano)
but if they are an after market set they are some times held on with a clamping plate that fits over the chassis rail.
good luck and let me know if you need the bolts.
