if it drives in 4 wheel but not in 2 wheel this suggests the rear axle is stuffed, put it in 2 wheel and while in gear clutch out look under the motor, is the rear prop turning? Rick

This is a guess and i think Rick will no more than me on this, BUT if the rear diff has gone could you not just drive it in 4 wheel H as you wont get wind up even if you have to take the prop shaft off.

I know this wont fix it, but you will still be mobile till you can.

Failing that you could take the front diff off and send it to me :clap.

sorted

Thanks all its sorted wobbled 4x stick and we now have normal drive :clap:doh

The 4x4 box does have a neutral position, so I assume you know that now.
So I guess that's what it was.:thumbs

Sounds like the story I have told before. Whilst visiting friends in france I fould that I could not get first or second gear, I was able to drive on by using 4x4 low box and using third and fourth which is much the same. Later when I was able to investigate I found that my MOBILE PHONE had dropped into the the gear lever shroud side on. This prevented the lever moving over to the left! I felt foolish but releved as I was over 1000 miles from home. Regards. Bri
