Hi guys got a light come on any advise what it is please ? 20170619_153657-600x800.jpg

Pull the bulb :lol

Kidding aside though, my '04 3.0 had the Engine Management Light on almost continuously and never put a foot wrong. If I remember correctly, it could be almost anything that brings it on, from a purge canister (if fitted) to a brake light switch. Have you access to a diagnostic tool? :nenau

There is a how to guide in the workshop downloads that shows you how to read the fault codes.
No special tools needed and really simple to follow.
I shall be using it myself shortly as friend of mine has the same problem on his terrano.

OK word of warning here guys & girls, I have 3 running T2's one Bosch two Zexel, the Bosch is bridge the pins and keep bridged to read the codes, removing the bridge clears the codes, Zexel momentarily bridge to read, bridge again to clear, do not know if this applies to later than 98 models, Rick

Just done a 2001 Bosch pumped terrano with the 16 pin plug and had to keep that bridged to read the codes.

That's the basic principal to it in that guide I posted above.

Your truck is newer and is likely to have the 16 PIN adaptor, the best thing to do is to take a picture of your plug which is clipped onto the underneath of the fusebox just near the right knee in the drivers footwell.

We'll then guide you on the best way to access your codes as there are 2 different methods depending on what setup you have :thumb2

Thanks for the replies it's gone off now :lol

The car will have stored the DTC (Diagnostic Troubleshooting Code) so you should be able to do the process and see what the issue was, could be nothing to worry about but could be that lifesaver prompt to get something fixed that could cost hundreds more if left :nenau
