Does anyone know where I might be able to source heavy duty CVs and stronger front drive shafts ?

If I knew I would have done it a long time ago, I must have done at least 10 Rick

Google propshaft manufacturers near you bud, should be able to find someone to make some for you :thumb2

Propshafts aren't the problem. I've google drive shafts endlessly

Trouble is it is all designed around a central issue, improve drive shafts and the diff will be next down the line to fail, stick a patrol axle in there Pete, if anybody can do it you can, Rick

Rick I could have done but the T2 is sold. I'm just looking for my mate who's bought it. He's defo going to be in the drive shaft snappy club :lol

Also I'd like the weak point to be the hub. Manual or auto and easy to swap out

I'm sure i read somewhere that porshe ones would fit:nenau

Started to get results :D
First real quotes for a one off drive shaft ( two needed )
£300 plus vat each inc collection of stock ones to copy. That gets a custom made drive shaft 4 times stronger than stock. Price negotiable on increased numbers.
I have another company working on prices at the mo :thumbs

I have my reservations!!! I thought the reason these snapped in the first place was because of the high working angles due to increased height at the front due to winding the torsion bars up.

How have these guys that have quoted you 300 each for these driveshafts addressed that issue? Or are they literally working at the same angles but just with better quality stronger metal? :nenau

From my experience the high angles kill the CVs not the shafts. My shaft angles are very well controlled  but I have taken them out purely on sudden torque .
They basically copy the stock shaft and make it out of exotic racing materials. Normally used on race cars, rally cars and so on.
CPSdrivelink is the company I'm most interested in at the mo as they also handle upgraded CV joints.
I've found a local drive shaft guy too and waiting for his feedback.
