Just wondering so i can get my dates at work sorted is someone sorting out the heathers day outing this year:nenau:confused:

i searched the site and its usually around august/sept

just thought i would stir this up and we might get the ball rolling and get some names down

we draw lots to go out with that bird from Eastenders, you know the George Michael fan :augie

That is really sad admitting to knowing about Eastenders:lol

"Derbyshire Heather Day" a trip around the Derbyshire Peak district to see the moorland Heather at it's best. Think it was IanDouglas that organised one once.

i would love to run a event but as i have only been out on one event before and dont have a clue where abouts in the peaks to go i was hoping one of the more senior/experianced members who knows the ins & outs of green laning/off roading to take up the mantle:bow

i just didnt want to see one of this clubs best get togethers go by the way side

ps we seem to be getting quite a few east midlands folk joining thyought this would be a great day out to see folk and see what these 4x4 are about:naughty

heather day

hi buzz762.
I am also involved with a trout fishery and we are being hit by poachers so some night watching and maintenance days plus trying to catch a few fish.
as regards the new and old notts members holding a meet thats something i have been thinking about.
I have a few lanes to check out that nissan 4x4 have not driven due to the lanes being in a poor state.
the good news is they have been repaired .
last year I had driven 2 part way but had to turn around due to conditions and being on my own.
there was overgrown hedgerows on both so scratching is very likely.
is your truck still shiny?
plus there are holidays to get out of the way.
so dont despair.

well its pretty much my back yard, so hey lets start something.

must say when i went on it couple of years ago was one of best
laning trips ever had.

If not working please put us down for this, missed it last year.. :doh

Is this route likely to scratch my beloved 16 year old Mav?
I've never took her off road that much, been through a few dirt tracks on the Chase, don't want dents or scratches.

will I require tread on my tyres? mine are OK now but may be like slicks after another few months use :augie

Yep i am up for it if in sept or early Aug,the few scrapes the last time out at Notts but a bit of elbow grease soon polished out:thumb2. Laurie Ash
