Can anyone explain how the heater on my filter housing works please, I'd like to be able to control it manually, as it's there for heating diesel not veg oil, and I don;t reckon it's going to do what I need it to do.

It wont buddy
As your braking 1 :augie
Take a live to it & you'll see how it miss lead me :doh
It only just warms :(
My advice is ripe it all out & use a inline filter & pump :thumbs

The bloke I bought it off told me he burnt his finger on it. :nenau
I'll take your advice though Adz, and test the one off the spares car I bought recently and have some parts left over which I may offer to the members of this esteemed establishment at greatly reduced price .
Looking at your setup, I could easily put an inline electric heater in there and it'd still be neat and tidy.

Heater on the filter housing? Is there one then? The lack of ummmmm wires would tend to say not....? Must be some kind of retrofit unless they forgot to fit one to both of my trucks...?:nenau

thats'll be why it cost twice as much to service as the terrano

My terrano's got one, and the maverick (which I'm saving from the scrap heap in the hope that someone might be able to use some if the parts to keep their beloved vehicle on the road for the future enjoyment of themselves and others.)
