Heater keeps blowing fuses

Hi,

I thought we'd fixed the heater problem but it just blew another fuse. The Mav is still at my Brother in law's place (80 odd miles away). The fuses are exploding (rather than melting), the first one was at the end of a 90 minute run in the snow.

I've got a resistor on the way (to fix the less serious problem of only running on 4) but my Brother in law (who's an electrician) is worried the blower motor is on its last legs and causing fuses to blow.

I'm wondering about trying to get a replacement blower motor. I know the Ford version isn't available, is the Nissan version interchangeable?

Any ideas or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be tempted to wait and see what it's like when the resistor is fitted.
