Heater Blower

HI all this morning when de iceing 94 Teranno 2.7 started engine turned blower on to do the screen no blower, had no time to sort had to take wife to work to earn the coffers to keep Terrano on road see they do have there uses.
right back to the blower drove her and back about 7 miles in total,
got back checked fuses yes it had blown, but why? put a fresh fuse in turned on blower clanging noise switched off blower stoped, head under the dash turn blower on it was ice and a small amount of water, so it must have frozen over night,my Question is how did the water get in there,and has any one had the same problem.? works fine now.its not anti freeze water.

Had the same prob sort of thing the other morn. Stated my jeep up turned on the fan and it sounded as if somone had stuck a stick in it :doh what a noise After about 6 sec it had gone Think it was ice in the fan Been ok ever since

POSSIBLE BLOCKAGE IN WATER DRAINS SOMEWHERE, WATER COULD FIND IT'S WAY INTO THE BLOWER ?

plenty of posts on here about clearing drains.

Mine make an 'orrible noise because it's got wood chips in it from when I was towing/moving a chipper for a tree murderer. Smells like a pine tree. But it does trap moisture which causes condensation on the windows until it gets nice and hot. Got to change that blower ! It's never frozen up on me, but if it did I probably wouldn't notice.

Had a look at some of the threds one says take glove box out blower off and look up three holes that might need pluging.
I will have a look tomorrow,if it freezes again.:clap

Best tenner i ever spent, next year do they bill at renewel,or is a tenner for life,

yearly mate. open the passenger door and see if there's a load of mud behind the wing, that blocks the drain up and can force water into the footwell from above. worth cleaning out even if it doesn't solve your problem.
