Hi all can anyone help or advise please?

I currently have a 1998 Terrano with black leather and was wondering if the Terrano ever came with heated seats as an option and if so does anybody have any they would consider selling?

I have fitted after market heated seat elements in my van a few yeas ago but i have to say i wasnt impressed as they didnt work for long....

Mine has heated seats as standard. Drivers is poor. wifes is toasty. The switch gets hotter than my seat.

The ones you tried, were they the 'carbon fibre' type that are being flogged for much cheapness on ebay and the likes? I'd been wondering about those, but not overly sure how good they'll be.

Example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Pairs-C...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item564aeb3685

Hmm I wonder if I could patch my drivers seat with these? I could use the original harness and switch. Mine must just be tired and worn out. How would these fit to the seats then? Sticky backed plastic?

The carbon ones go under the seat covers, so you have to strip back and recover.

So is it a case of p1ss poor wiring/soldering that's failed or the pads themselves? They're cheap enough to make a bit of recabling during installation worthwhile perhaps?

Oh. Don't think I'll be doing that, I can see it now! Disaster all over it. :doh Could get them re upholstered at the same time.... #moneynoobject :augie
