A new EU Law is coming in to place where vans over 2500 gross weight, so Vivaro/Transit and OVER ave to have night lights if parked on road, where each corner is lit and number plate is lit.
Our company have pretty much said if u park on road then u can't take van home and will have to park at your local telephone exchange.

Just a Heads up, not sure when takes affect.

By the way- WHAT A CRAZY IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not as if you walk out your door every morning and see dozens of smashed vans is it?

Hooray for the EU :clap

(idiots should mind their own business)

It is an odd ruling quite bozzare and i'd not heard about it

Though I'm sorry, large vans parked on road in residential areas as often as not are a bloody nuisance.

utter, utter, UTTER nonsense and garbage and arrgghhh stupidity beyond all understanding, i'm speachless with disbelief.

and i bet they got paid more euros than we get pounds...!!

While on the subject of the EU regulations, shooters among you who travel abroad to compete/hunt might find the following of interest.

"The European Union Commission recently released a new air-travel security regulation which, in part, prohibits the carriage of ammunition in checked baggage. [...] Individual EU countries have the ability to opt out of the regulation [...] This regulation goes into effect on April 29, so anyone travelling with ammunition through Europe after that date needs to contact the airline to make sure that there will not be any issues."

Here's a link to the PDF of the regulations, the prohibition is on page 20:
