handbrake cables

looking into replacing my handbrake cable on my lwb 1999 2.7tdi been looking on eurocarparts as they have a sale on and they list one for the left-hand side they say is 1470mm but the one for the right is 1478mm are they supposed to be the same length or is there a reason the right is longer due to routing?:thumb2
