Hi all, has anyone got any photos of the handbrake adjuster mechanism below the centre console.
Had issues a while ago with the 3litre and a local garage told me the thread had been stripped on the yolk?
Is this yolk part of the two rear cables or is it seperate item.

Basically cables need adjusting again and I’d like to see what I’m facing, may be even get replacement parts before it needs repairing.

Cheers

hi jim looking at the workshop manual it is a short cable that goes from handbrake with the pivot on it to join the rear cables to so should be able to replace the cable with a new one you may find that in fact it is the thread in the nut more so than the cable thread as i had the same problem in the past and a new nut sorted out :nenau

I had a similar problem with the thread on the adjuster yolk.
I put a second nut on which stopped the original nut moving on the worn threads.

Same as Elty, my cable is stretched to the point the nut drops off the end of the thread So I put a washer and short spacer on there to move the nut futher up the thread.

Will probably have to change it at some point though, as the bit of thread that sticks out, is getting close to fowling.

Mines nice and fresh again with new blueprint cables :sly
