I found this a year or so ago, and promised i would keep it until the time arised that I would get another 4x4

It may be a well known map I'm not sure but certainly a handy tool *drools*

Use it as you will, always check the lanes are still active with no bans ect :augie

Looks good for finding them in the first place. I can't work out what the different colours and line type mean. I saw red, amber, green and green dotted. Might be a rating.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

Key

BOAT - Byways Open to All Traffic Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT)

Unknown Byway Byway (BOAT/RB)

RB - Restricted Byway Restricted Byway (RB)

There are a few out my way, I have driven the one from Christmas common to Pishill in my van, it has some good ruts if you want to get into that stuff of more level ground if not. The Ridgeway is closed off to vehicles now for most of it's length, although there are some parts still open and again, hard and easy parts.
Not sure about the stuff around Nettlebed, I think they are still open though

that map has been around for a while, iirc its out of date and the lanes that are on there are suspicious for use

Top knotch sir, thank you, are these maps more up to date do you think?

That map is sadly very out of date as it lists a byway near me that has been unpassable in a motor for easy 8 years & think it's now been reclassed as a bridleway:augie But I know quite a few in the NE of Northumberland if anyone needs the info:thumb2

Sorry I thought I'd stated that at the bottom lol clearly left that out

OS Explorer 25k = Green
OS Landranger 50k = Pink

:thumbs

good job the symbols stay the same or would get confused lol
