Hello everyone, been out for a while.

Been busy fixing the Terrano, put new shocks and a touch of this and that.

I'm buyng a GPS, and I've seen the big boys, TomTom, Garmin, etc.

Came across this GPS/PND

you can buy them with SYGIC Software nealy for free.
The thing is that you can put whatever navigator/software you want ( OZI, TWONAV, COMPE), it's WIN CE based.

My question is, is it any good as a GPS?
Does any one use it?

Dont know mush about "tablet" pcs but if youre going that route have you thought of smart phone, s/h pda or even budget allowing, a net book?

The first two are way more portable possibly cheaper and will run the likes of igo and memory map so youre covered on and off road :thumb2

The missus has just got a net book and I havent tried nav software on it yet but in theory theres no reason why it wont work.

Ive had great use out of one of these, its been dropped, drowned completely abused lost its pretty face but still working well.

Theyre silly money to buy but are available on relatively cheap mobile contracts

All a matter of taste isnt it really :nenau
