had to weld up air box and put a 90 deg 3" stainless steel bend at the end of the airbox so i could take the air feed through the inner wing then between inner and outer wing, then out outer wing up the a pillar all in 3" pipe photos below with parts list

making the brackets out of 2 stainsless steel 100mmx100mm x1.2mm plate bent in vise

then mig with stainless steel wire the 3" stainless steel tube to brackets (nothing is going to rust :lol) then attached the right angle 3" tube to the 3" tube up the pillar with 3" 2 ply flexi silicone tube

what it looks like when all most finished must get a 45deg stainless steel tube so the 3" snorkel head is not a rain catcher:augie:lol

When do you start production?

sorry 1 off its easy if u need help just ask by the way when the snorkel head is facing down like in the last pic u hear this really nice induction roar and turbo wisle but only with passanger window down slightly it was cold coming back from my parents farm but the sound made up for it :D but if u shut the window nice and quite for the long drive;-)

Ah ha, run it up the inside then one can enjoy the roar without being cold :sly

nice idea but not do good on long drives when sometimes u want quite this is my only car so need to sometimes drive long distance with tin tent on the back:eek:

Looking good.:clap I have had all the bits to make my snorkel (ecept flexi)but haven't got around to do anything with it until you have inspired me to do something about it. Where did you get the 2ply pipe from I can only find stuff with the silver wire showing.

Very smart job....

I thought I read that there was not enough room between the wings to run 3" all the way, so how did you get the space at the top of the wing, under the windscreen, did you take a hammer to it?

That is a great job... I was going to say professional, but I think that would actually be an insult, since I have seen the bodged jobs the pros do, that is a craftmans job... :bow:bow

I wish I had the nerve, but I think for my own sanity, I will go with a rework on the D22 one, once I get the money together.
