Lucky I have a proper shovel with me so I dug it out, which was a pain as the gravel was frozen solid :lol

good work!

Bet your glad you had the shovel, do you usually carry it or was it in-case of snow digging?

I put it in the last week mate, at start of this snow as I was out in the drifts and stuff

I think I'll make some brackets for it in the back as its a life saver

Good job you had shovel in boot:thumbs

Lesson for others though, don't try this on your own, unpreparred:doh

That was just me banging reverse without the clutch fully depressed

It's fine

suppose moral is dont go alone, ie 2 vehicles minimum.

i have decent straps and shacles in all the time but dont
have a shovel, not to self might be worth getting one from shed.

It looks as though that gravel was just dumped there in an attempt to stop vehicles getting through.

IF this is the case, is it a private road, Byway or BOAT, if so who was responsible for obstructing the access? ie who owns the gravel?
What type is it?

If no one owns the gravel, I bet it could be used to do driveways.

Our first house had a gravel drive, on a slope and to be honest, it was easy to get up it in the ice and snow in a standard car.

A quick rake every now and again, and a top up, as I used the odd bucketfull now and again for small concreting jobs. :thumb2

Oil drops were never an issue.

So...

Oh just a thought, how much does gravel cost these days?
