after travelling on average 55 to 60 for 6months i thought maybe my motors gonna get like an old 2 stroke engine CHOCKED UP ! so on my way home from work M1 first time ive ever been near 90 in the terrano :doh hate thrashing the motor but i was really surprised it coped very well not shaky like expected infact this went on for 6 miles , shite & crap at first but she soon cleared into a smoothe cruiser, once off the motorway the lump sounded crisp & felt more responsive almost thought it was a GTI:lol:lol ... best not wait as long next time so much enjoyed that trip home from work :lol....wondering how many litres the motor was helping itself too:doh

A good 70+ cruise never harms the engine if you've thoroughly warmed it up first.

I had my only near death experience in Mak at just over 90, discovered that the front end goes really light on a downhill curve when the back tires are 8psi under pressure  Bloody Nissan techs. :doh To this day I still don't know how I made it round that corner.

yes the motor had already covered 12miles when i jumped on the motorway so it was well upto working temp..... sounds little hair raising your experience 90 in a terrano on a downhill curve:bow bet that body was rolling:doh

They need a good thrashing every now and then, but don't try it with half a front arb.
After a bit of to and fro on the dual carriage way, some loser in a Crossfire thought about trying to overtake me on a roundabout near home the other night, she pulled up alongside me on the way in, we got there at the same time, we went round together, and we left together. There was quite a lot of body roll and some nasty tyre squeal. It didn't go round quite quite as well as it usually does, and I think we both had the same expression on our faces.
Checked underneath when I got home to find the dodgy front arb had finally given up. That's the weekend bollixed.

I give my trol a good blast now and again, does it the world of good. She will cruise happily at speeds above 70 all day not that ive done it:augie:naughty. Trouble with the Trol is the shear size of it makes you think your going slower than you are.

jesus!!!! .... that sounds scary, not sure if i fancy trying that one on a roundabout in a terrano :bow... whats the arb ? half front arb

front anti roll bar, snapped off at one end . Fixing it tomorrow :augie

I go over this particular roundabout every day, there's very good all round vision on the approaches, and you don't really need to slow down from 60, but I usually coast down to about 40 in the interests of tyre preservation. The problem is there's a 75m section of dual carriageway on the approach and every tom dick and harry driving anything from sports cars to transit vans thinks they're going to gain something by overtaking on it.
What they don't know is that I'm a fookin' idiot, I don't use my brakes, or slow down unles I really need to, and that they are quite welcome to come and have a go if they think they're hard enough.
My dad once told me any dick head can drive fast in a straight line. I told him this dick head can drive fast round corners too.;)
