Thanks for that , just requested the view of my house be removed as the pic was taken from the stretch of road owned by my neighbour and myself and gives clear view of my caravan and security that protect it.

The email back says they will consider if they will delete it and their blub says the images are only what someone driving past would see.

Problem is no one can drive past my house and even if they did they couldn't spend hours studying how to steal my caravan.

Brian

I really don't know how they'll go on because generally anything you can see in the public domain you can legally take a photo of. Is there a public right of way down the lane or anything like that?

Jim

The road is open both ends so anyone can drive through although no one does as it is not a short cut . The upkeep is down to myself and my neighbour as the road is not adopted.

Because of the height of the camera my caravan can be seen which it can't be if walking or driving past.

If you track down the road you can see into my rear garden OVER the fence.

hardly public domain.

Trouble is mate that these days if I wanted to nick your tin tent or the landie it would be quite easy to start with from here. The digital age can be abused very easily. For example I could get your address for £2.50 just from the info on this site:sly(without being a member too)
DVLA is rediculously easy to get info from. I just need to fill in the form to get your details cause your Mav or Landie hit my car, simples:naughty

And if your 10 feet tall the world is your oyster:lol

Other than the embarassement of having a French Car on the drive my place is OK.

Jim

Not being 10 ft tall I used the zoom on as many windows as I could be bothered with:sly
Trouble is in bright sunshine everyone round here was down the beach:naughty
Much better views:clap

Just checked and the main road is owned by the residents association and access is only for people with permission from one of the residents.

I have emailed Google to ask which resident gave them permission.

I await their reply.

brian, contact your insurers and tell them what happened, they may be able to tell you how to get the picture removed, there's you trying to keep it safe and them prats photographing it for everyone to see, dont think the insurance company will be to impressed to be honest. :doh

You mean to say that people actually nick caravans? That must be some kind of serious mental condition surely? Poor buggers! :augie:lol

we got street view too, and my caravan can be seen also, although i seriously doubt anyone could nick it, its a pain in t'arse to get in and out.

i had a good wonder round last night on street view, they must have done mine at some obscure time last year, because by 4x4 isnt there, so must have been a day the Mav was actually working!
