good place for live to switch with ingnition

Is there a good bit to tap into as need a live from ignition to operate a relay

How about a piggy back fuse holder, use something like the rear wiper fuse in the fuse box. You don't have to break into existing vehicle wiring then. I got a piggy back from ebay for my other car, nice n neat.

Bit most are live all the time and negative switched so all fuses live in fuse box even with ignition off

I picked up a switched live from the wiper-motor, the wire that returns the blades to park when you turn them off. Easy to find with a multimeter. Only one live with ign on and wipers off

Ok then how about cig lighter?

I prefer to take feeds from non essential circuits then if I cause any problems the truck is not disabled.
