Spoke to my very good friend Marc to it and he says he will weld up any problem areas this summer, and undersell and waxoil any bits that need doing, so happy to know my T2 is going to live as long as I can keep her going! Big weight off my mind :)

Sorry about all the spelling mistakes. My proper computers gone bang and I'm using my iPad! Not the best for typing, or grumble sites but that's another story....!

It'll be good fun though, as I'm going to stay with him and his missus in a nice part of Lincolnshire, and he's gonna teach me to weld at the same time, and we're going to do lots of little jobs to it, so quite looking forward to it.

Can't wait to take it back to the same mot man, and basically tea bag him with my rust free, seamlessly welded, solid gorgeous truck.

Here's to many more years T2ing!

awesome mate, I have to say its a huge relief having a welder handy. These cars only seem to suffer in specific areas (that I know of) and they are usually straight forward.

I want to learn to weld too, I plan to in summer perhaps, then buy a welder, then buy a classic car...hmmmmmm......!:clap

... Specific areas ...... ???

... the front, the rear
... anywhere in between ....

..... under the wings / .... above the axle ......

Derbyshire ... !!!

.... mine took 4 months and 2 rolls of wire !!

GOOD LUCK !!!
