it's swb 2.7

dunno mate:nenau
some one will help and I will be watchin this thread as I want a new clutch and box, and torsion bar lift:D

changeing the clutch take the engine out much easier rick will be along to explain

Wait, you have to drop the torsion bars?! Personally, il remove the 2 propshafts, transfer box to save a bit of weight, then loosen/slide the box back just far enough to get in and change the clutch.

However, I'm going to go out on a limb, and say there will probably be some reason you can't do it this way!

I am getting the cash together for.
engine out
crank seal done
gearbox lay shaft bearing,or rekon box repair.
torsion bar removal ,reindexing and lift.
together with dislo and shock rear lift.:naughty

yes rear main oil seal is a snip, no need to touch sump, just drill it and insert a screw to pull it out, release torsion bars and mark spline position before removing the adjusting arm, on your back with a trolley jack is doable but bloody hard work, if you are only doing a clutch it is far far better to remove the engine if you have a hoist, Rick

I would think it'll take 2 people to lift the box out as it's a big heavy lump

I have done an auto on my own but had to remove the transfer box as far too heavy and unbalanced, getting the transfer box on was also bad news, it is on the forum some place, try sally, Rick

I did a bit of a write up a few years ago when I changed my clutch twice.
I made a cradle for the trolley jack to hold the gearbox.but was hard work on your own as you have to twist the box so it clears the body.
will see if I can find the write up I did.
