Gearbox oil/ Manual hubs

Trying to rule out problems on our 1996 automatic mistral (2.7)
Can anyone please advise me on how much gearbox oil i will need and where i am best to buy it from.
Completely new area to me.

Also does anyone know if i can run the car without the hubs at all, can i take them off

Oil amounts will be in the manuals and yes you can run with the auto hubs off, but best just take the brake ring out and refit the hubs. Keeps all the crap out and the grease in :thumbs

if you have manual hubs, why would you want to run with them off do you mean off as in switched off, or off as in removed? :nenau

yes theres maunal hubs fitted but have got a crunching ?cog slipping noise coming from the front
while i was checking things out i turned the o/s wheel and there was a clicking noise from the hub
was wondering if its ok to run for a couple of miles to eliminate them the hubs from the noises ?

Do you have any play in the hub, you could have a wheel bearing gone, Rick
