when i was autopsying the transfer box i noticed it had a random pipe on it which in guessing is a breather, where does the breather go to when on the vehicle? i guess not just dangling down as water would get into it:nenau

into the chassis i think

but would it not still get water in it when going though rivers?

yep thats why people move them to go into the body

All the breathers, except rear diff, come together and finish on the rear bulkhead in the engine bay(rear diff finishes above fuel tank)

seen as i don't want to trash my gearbox by driving through rivers when i pass my driving test and go looking for lanes and go down to where you all off road:D i think i shall move them too:D:thumb2

On the T2's Mav's and Mistrals all the box/dif breathers join together and terminate near the brake servo, so well high enough, Rick

You might want to crawl around underneath and follow all of them as they can and do rust through - mine has a break just where it (was) clipped to the chassis in the engine bay - I still need to get down there and patch up - looking at the biblical weather out there, I think I should have done it last weekend!

I couldn't see the breather pipes in the engine bay. I looked near and around the break cylinder on the right

It's tucked up there on the drivers side, bent into a nice wee shepherds crook - at least, it should be!

Ok lol I'll have a look. If pipes are rusted I'll change them today :D
