Gearbox - 2nd one blown

Ive had a Nissan swb Terrano II 2.7TDi now for the past 13 years
at 82,000 miles the 1st Gear box blew up...

Now some 6 years on and the recon gearbox has blown at exactly 82,000 more additional miles at 164,000 miles

QUESTION 1: - are these boxes set to self destruct at 82,000 miles exactly

QUESTION 2: - anyone know how to get one fixed reasonably on a limited budget

sad to say Ive had to buy a 1994 Frontera as a stand by 4x4


BUT Ive also got a NISSAN Elgrand!!!!! now thats talking...
