Can anybody tell me what the part number is for gear linkage on a 2.7 tdi?
Thanks

do you mean the small plastic piece that fits on to the bottom of the gearstick

I am not sure, the garage that was trying to sort the oil leak out
said the leak was coming from the seal on the gear linkage and you can only get the seal with a replacement gear linkage! and they would have to
order the part from Nissan.but we moved before they could get the part.

i dont know what seal there is on the gearlinkage but a replacement gearlinkage would be a lot of money from nissan i wouldnt have thought you would have to replace the whole gearlinkage because of a seal might be worth getting a second opoion

The main gear stick is sealed by the rubber boot over the top, I would think this would be a separate part for sure.
It could be the 4wd Hi/low gear linkage, this has a small seal in the gearbox housing where the operating shaft passes through and I would also think this would be available as a separate part, if it isn’t then a seal specialist such as bearing services may be able to get one for you, if you take the old one in as a pattern.

Thanks for the all the reply's,this weekend I removed the center console
and the rubber gaiter and found that one of the bolts is missing from the
control housing and a nice pool of gear oil around the housing.
I don't think this bolt was ever fitted! and would explain the heat in the console, so now I will get a replacement bolt and try to find out what sort
of sealant to use to stop the leak
