Gear Knob

Can anyone one please help as I want to screw my knob off My gear lever boot has a broken clip at the bottom so keeps coming out of the centre console. My intention is to buy one from a breakers so I need to know how the gear knob comes off.

hi jim on my terrano it just unscrews anti clockwise some have a rubber insert to remove some of the vibration ,so sometimes it feels a bit strange when unscrewing it so you may need to apply some pulling pressure as you unscrew so to speak.lol
