well as I don't smoke I have removed the ashtray and put an extra water temp gauge and voltage gauge in its place. I used a section of white cable conduit screwed into the holes where the ashtray mounted. I did the front of it with carbon fibre wrap and bolted the gauges to this conduit.

Wires tapped in for power from fuse box - I think it looks smart?

You are all making me so jealous with all the little mods. Sadly my 05 plate has to go, need something cheaper to run for work.

They are thirsty but Id never have a car - infact Ive never owned one lol as prefer my sit up high motors?
If you have to travel a distance though it makes sense.

That's the same place as I've fitted my boost gauge.:thumb2
Mine could do with another next to it as it looks a bit lonely sat there on its own.

Looks good:thumb2 used to have my gauges a bit further down in the cubby hole but found my eyes were taken off the road to long to read the gauges but it might not be as bad as yours are a bit higher up but if it works for you then that's all that matters:thumb2

nice clean motor that is mate.not sure on the gauge position though.
are they easy to glance at? its a long way to take your eyes from the road:nenau

Fellow oatcake scoffer - hurrah.

They seem to be fine as they only need the odd glance but it makes use of a dead space.

I'd peep you if I saw you if I could get my horn to sound less hamster sneezing like lol. I brought two alledged 110 decibel ones oiff eblag and they dont sound any better:eek:

Id be happy just to have a horn - the stock one was awefull my so called twin upgrade kit works if I touch the battery terminals but wire it into the existing wiring and its pants.

Taken out the ashtray! so now where you going to keep change for car parks etc...

Kind regards

Russell.
