You've just done it mate :thumbs
You can get spade connectors with full covers then you wont need the tape :sly

:thumbs
ah yes but not in my cupboard
:thumb2

Guess that'l be fine so long as its decent PVC / Electricians Tape!!

I had a range rover that had been mended with cellotape and twisted wires.... It wouldn't start...Funny that!!:nenau

my old lecturer at college called it insulting tape :lol

The fuse legs are thinner than the blades they are designed for, you may meed to tighten the grip of the crimp on the fuse, you can use pliers but you will have more control using a vice.
You may find the grip is satisfactory.
To improve it, you could use fully insulated crimps.

Catch 22 really, crimp it tight enough and youll struggle on a wet dark night to change the fuse, slack enough to be an easy change and it could drop off.

So sorry but when you can get something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12-volt-Stand...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item414b477489 for that price, or for a single http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WATERPROOF-20...em&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45edbf34ff even cheaper and very neat , putting the wiring straight onto the fuse is a 100% slackers bodge ;)

Cheaper still - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-Brand-New-...m&pt=UK_WSJL_Wholesale_GL&hash=item5d29fdd93b - you get ten for that price inc P&P and you can do it the way you're asking about as a temp measure then retro fit a proper holder.

Trex's solution is best no doubt about it but for what it's worth I've run 12 feeds to towbar and sockets on mine for the last 8 years and not had a problem with fully insulated spades.

this one ( or 10 )

led ar good, but cant see them under seats or behind dash.

for lights and CB. so tucked away.

No if you read the desc, the led comes on when the fuse has blown, its not there for day to day decoration ;)

Therefore if whatever youve got wired up to it conks out your first check is to see if the led is on and hey presto first bit of the fault finding potentially sorted without any dismantling just a quick look.

Used them before though they were a bit more expensive than that at the time.

If its accessible enough to change the fuse its accessible enough to use the led view :thumb2
