hi all.

im sure this maverick is jinxed!

anyway i have a problem with fuel or lack of it. I drove around 40 miles to a local pay and play site and truck never missed a beat. went up one hill and truck cut out, wouldnt start again.

when i lifted bonnet there was no fuel in fuel line before the fuel filter and the plunger on the primer for fuel filter was sucked down. as soon as i took the fuel pipe off the filter it popped back up??

HELP!!!!

thanks

dan

Blockage in fuel line ?? Disconect fuel
Lines off at tank end and engine bay and blow through with airline for starters, and link out the fuel filter

Agreed.

The pump pulls fuel via suction through the fillter, thats why you have to prime it. As Stinka said it sounds like the line got blocked causing the pump to suck the primer into the filter as well. You may find the crap is in the tank and due to you going up and down hill it found its way to the outlet pipe.
It could be a tank off and clean out job.
