Hi Folks,
Many thanks to all those who have answered my queries so far and whose help I have sorted them out.
I have another question, sorry to say, to do with the fuel system and the filter. Not sure if I have put this question in the right section, but didn't see one marked fuel system.
I have had my Mistral about 3 years now and always service it myself, but have never changed the fuel filter and if the air cleaner filter is anything to go by when I had the car first, then it will desperately need a new one.
All the years I’ve been driving the air cleaner on this Minstrel was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, looked more like it was an oil filter LOLOLOL.
Any way back to the question in hand. On the CD manual I have is shows the pump to fill the fuel system and take the air out. But on the car itself, I can see the pump but no lever to press to prime the system and on top of the filter no bleed screw.
So am I right in assuming that the fuel system has a auto bleed system?????? and rather than crack the engine over and over to fill the filter, be best to put some diesel in it first to fill it.
Sorry for a dumb sort of question, but better ask those in the know before doing something I might regret.
Regards,
Syncnetic
