O.K the fuel leak is fixed, i couldn't find the leak so got a machanic friend to fix it, both the fuel line and return line had to be done 3 ft on each, took 2 hours and only got charged £55, but now i have a missfire, does anyone have any ideas to what could be causing this?

Constant missfire? comes and goes? Any white smoke from the exhaust?

More info please.

yea white smoke is there but it goes while driving

air lock in the fuel lines/filter/supply would be my guess

i got that.. after fitting heat exchanger...

BUT

i now know why... i used the WRONG size fule line.. so going to sort it out soon!

You've got air trapped or, more likely, it is still sucking air from a poor connection on the repair.

Is it worse when started from cold, and then improves after running a short time?

i did wonder if it would be an aitlock or air somewhere with having the leak, how would i get rid of it?

with an air key ?

Sorry, pump the fuel filter primer thing on top until it goes hard. The crack the injectors one at a time to see if there's fuel coming through, if not sell it and buy a different car.

just keep priming the pump as they are a self bleeding system(or so ive been told)

air getting in,.
just the problem ive got...

You are definately sucking air from somewhere then.

Poorly fitting filter / poor filter / split diaphram, still leaky lines.

my problem is gas escaping at the mo  :augie
