Before I take the fuel tank to bits does anyone know if the Petrol T2's/Mavs were fitted with a fuel cut off solenoid thingy? Cuts fuel supply in the case of an accident, EFI sierras etc have a reset under the spare wheel, jut had a thought about mine as fuel pump doesn't appear to be running but can't hear it normally so difficult to know, thees no fuel pressure anyway.

TBH HB i've got no idea m8  I know the later escorts & mondeo's had them hiden in the kick panels in the drivers foot well. Rover had them hiden bellow the dash/behind the centre console  Hope this helps if you go hunting for it

I don’t think they had a fuel cut solenoid, as far as I know the pump is operated by a relay that is controlled by the ECU and is only switched on for a few seconds when the key is on and if no cranking signal is present from the engine turning over then it is turned off again.

Thats basically what I thought but just checking before I start taking the tank off, its nigh on full so will be a right pain.

Am going to check for a supply at the pump, already done fuse and relay and if no supply I'll rig one, if theres a supply its new pump time or even new pump and tank time.
