£1.37 per litre, for diesel at my local ESSO.......ONE POUND THIRTY SEVEN.

SPEECHLESS.

Yeah, pretty much the same thing going on around my neck of the woods as well. I have driven today because of snow yesterday, but I am going to be dusting off the pushbike to start cycling the 10 mile round trip to work tomorrow.

You win Mr Cameron, I give up!

Regards

Alan

We used to get diesel from work for £1 litre then the tax man found out:(

We're lucky as he has a 2500 ltr tank of red for the fork lifts & shunter & an old tanker trailer of white for the lorrys, his motor & employers :D :thumbs

Problem we had was only 5 company vehicles and about 10 employees buying diesel so it didnt add up when the accountant looked into it.

tesco's change their price at will, one near me, puts the price up Friday's evening's @ 7o/clock

my mate knows a tesco's tanker driver and he asked him if he gets any derv, yes but i wont put it in my car he said, it's re-gassed, make of that what you will, but my brother in law has always said he gets less mile to £20 using tesco petrol than other makes, anyone had similar experiences??. :naughty

interesting derv/petrol with micro air bubbles? means for every ltr delivered at the pump you actually get in real fuel a little less, is this possible??, worth investigating, Rick

think i a going to be using my bookers catering card this year :lol:lol

yup, so i dont go to tescos any more unless im burning fumes and they are the closest. i avoid Sainsburys, my only two are Shell and Total and BP down the road but they are always more expensive. I get best mileage from shell.

Cost of fuel £6.26 per gallon

137p per litre thats £6.26 per gallon for us oldies !

I try to use BP or Shell even though its a few pence more reason is simple my Brother in law broke down in his three month old Nissan Nevara thingy - fuel was like mush due to low temeratures - had to have new fuel pump fitted and dealer tried to make him pay for a new pump. Turns out he bought most of his fuel from a local Spot Fuel Station.

With a good brand you have a better chance of consistent fuel quality and all the required additatives. Supermakets and some independants buy cheapest fuel availiable - bit like some pub chains such as Witherspoons methinks buying beer that old stock etc ?
