Hi guys

I hope someone can help me with this. i went to change both front drop links to the anti roll bar and found the holes that they fit in to on the lower wishbone are now an oval shape rather than the round they should be:(. The wishbones look easy to change so thought I would change them. So a quick call to a mate in a motor factors to get a price (are you sitting down) £174+VAT each:eek: and that was the best price he could do. so phoned around some more and his was the best price. Has anyone got a good second hand set out there for an 02 plate 3.0Di. I love the terrano but don't know if I justify the £400+ cost of doing it as it still needs the front wheel bearings, rear shocks and a steering box doing on top of that.

Thanks for any help with this.

Im breaking 02 plate will check them but wouldnt it be easier to weld plate over them and re drill the holes

The holes in the wishbones become enlarged because of worn drop links rattling around - I'd imagine 80% of T2's are the same.
What I have done (and quite a few others in this club) is to put 2 large steel washers, between the drop link and the wishbone i.e. either side of the hole. Lower one is a bit fiddly, you have to put it through a hole and hold it there while you put the drop link through.
This is a cheap and cheerful fix that if not done knocks out the new drop links in short order (the bushes get dragged into the elongated hole).
Terranical (Bruce)

pffffftttt worrying over nothing, what you want is some big washers to put over the holes both sides, thats what most of us do its a common thing hope this helps to alleviate your worries :D

Thanks for the help guys when the weather clears up some I will go out and give it a try.

Regards Keith
