Front LED DTRL failure!

They lasted 20 months (previous 2 set less than a month - refunded) after fitting the last set of lamps, one has failed 2 out of the 6 units in one lamp have blown cost £24.99.

They seemed really well made alloy cases, I used extra sealant on the front lens area to keep water out.

Looking for another set anyone here fitted any that have lasted ?

Oh no that’s a bit rough isn’t it. I was going to try fitting some but I have such little faith in LED lamps I didn’t bother.
Halfords sell some Ring LED DRLs which in theory are a good brand.

I tried 3 different sets of Ring DRL's, and they were all terrible. First set dull, second set only lasted 6 months, and the 3rd set were much more expensive, and the electronic control was terrible, resulting in them turning on and off when ever they felt like it, and making it look like you were flashing other vehicles, resulting in a car pulling out in front of us, as he thought we had flashed him out.

I mentioned in another thread that I have purchased some off Ebay, and so far they are good, but only been on the car 18 months.

One last try then I am taking them off !!

Found these on e-bay they are 1700 lumens as opposed to my old ones being 1500 lumens and a tad taller.

If they end up too bright might have to re-wire as driving lights with main beam.

Attracted to 3 year warranty by manufacturer - probably worthless.lol

Durite stuff is usually pretty decent quality.
We use a fair bit of their components at work.

I assumed that if they were durable enough for a Land Rover they might be ok.

I've got a durite 12 volt compressor which is the same spec as a T max and it's had some heavy use and still going strong after 3 years.
