Needless to say I looked into this too :naughty
Lovely as it is , there's a lot of bucks to do that mod, mainly in a decent coilover of the right rating.
That said if I was going to offraod race the beast then it's an option but really not any better than the setup you have with a properly good shock up front. Plus you're on a LWB truck too so what's the point?
Go for a live axle on a swb for full articulation possibilities.
Have a word with Milners offroad racing dept , the guy there Simon I think is a bloody genius and will advise all this stuff and scare you silly with c/o prices
Good luck

You'll also need to reinforce the shock mount to allow for all the extra stress with the coilover. Also the bottom arm needs replating for the same reason. I found with advise from others who know that the compression arm bushes are more restricting than I wanted for off road articulation. So I modded my front arm and comp rod as follows:
Top arm is a Calmini jobbie that corrects the geometry after a suspension lift. I also modified the top arm bushes 'cause they die under big wheel stress too, so had new nylatron ones made and machined in some grease nipples

The comp arm often opens up a hole in the chassis too and that screws up your steering so I got some new brackets made up and then got some monster rose joints on the end of the old arms. This gives free movement of the front suspension and is adjustable too.

All done for not a lot of beans, hurra :D

How come your motor is so clean? I just did an engine change and all I got was piles of dried mud descending on me non stop, even though I take a jet wash to the site and wash it best I can before coming home, Rick

Clean, mine :lol I just blast off the area I'm working on that's it :thumbs
On away events I just clean the rad and the lights, the rest falls off eventually :lol Much to wife's dismay :lol
