Ok guys and girls

My bumper end brackets have rusted away...

So what did they look like??

Any idea how I can make something to pass mot.

I cut mine off and made some new brackets that bolted on.
Was a few years ago mind before I modded the front bumper and fitted the winch.

Brilliant idea Jim, does not matter what it looks like as long as it steadies the extremities of the bumper, Rick

My way of thinking is fix it to pass the test then make something better when you have more time.

Used dexion for alsorts but have none left now.

But as an add on it is not an MOT fail, mine has been disconnected for the time I have had the motor (2 MOT's) and bumper extremities have during that time been gaffer taped to the wing, it is one of those jobs been meaning to get round too but never seem to get the time. but all the time it is legal what the hell, Rick

Shoddy attitude Rick get them fixed :naughty

Why, will it drive better, no, will it provide more fuel economy no, will it look better yes but who cares, :rolleyes:Rick

If you really wanted to get nitty gritty with it you coud argue that yes it will take an effect on your fuel consumption, at higher speeds the extremeties of the bumpers will be flapping around breaking the aerodynamic air flow that nissan created when they designed the car.

Probably negligible on the figures of the already hungry Terrano :augie

Zippy, I have some old, clean Dexion shelving and a welder if you know what you want your brackets to look like.:thumb2
As said, you may not need to weld at all.
You're welcome to a length of dexion rail though.

Ah, that's not far out of the way from my work in Winchester.
I could drop a dexion rail into Stockbridge if you wanted to meet me there next week after work?
Gives me this weekend to sort a piece out for you.

That would be great , only working 4 days next week as away from Friday

In can be in Stockbridge by 5.45.

Just let me know how much,
