ford ranger crew cab

hi all

any got any idea

My pal has a 53 plate 2.5 diesel crew cab ranger 4x4 and has lost 5th gear.

1 - any ideas if it is an easy fix
2- if so does anyone know f a place in essex/ kent
3 - any one got a gear box (mazda b25 is the same)
