With so many on here new to caravanning, I wondered if anyone would be interested in little 650w 2 stroke generator I have for sale.

I purchased it about 12 years ago, when we had the trailer tent, as the hot water system only worked off mains electric, and not gas. When we go to the summer steam fairs, it tends to be dusty, and it's nice to have hot water to have a good wash with at the end of the day. We used this generator for a couple of seasons in the evenings, to heat the water, top the battery up, and watch TV, but as it was a trailer tent we only went away in the warmer weather, so it has probably only been used 20 or 30 times, if that. In fact, I only ever used 1 and a half bottles of 2 stroke oil in all the time I used it. 1 tank of fuel lasts about 4 hours.

Basically it will run any mains caravan lights, the hot water, the battery charger, so you can keep the caravan battery topped up, and as I said, we used to watch TV, although some people say modern TV's should not be run off of a non-sinewave genny. I never had any issues though, and now have a 12v TV, so the generator just keeps the battery topped up when the TV is trying to run it flat.:doh

When we upgraded to a caravan with Aircon for the ferrets, I discovered that you can not run electric motors off of this type of generator, and I ended up having to purchase a Sinewave one instead. These ferrets are expensive things...:D

Since then it has sat in the garage, but I am having a clear out and need the space.

If anyone is interested, I will take some pictures of it, but basically it comes in a sturdy aluminium Storage box, which holds the generator, a 10litre petrol can, a bottle of 2 stoke oil(not included), and all the leads, tools, and instructions that came with it. The lead is to connect it to a 12v battery and use it as a charger (I never used this).

I would like £50 for it all, but you will need to collect it from Sevenoaks in Kent.

Shame you're so far away I would have had it
See if we can get some sort of chain sorted out to get it to you.
Where in Wales are you?
Can you wait till the end of the month when I'll be down in High Wycombe?
How big is the generator as I'll be in the company car?

Not sure when we will next be over in Wales, definitely not for a few months though.

I'll measure the carry box in the morning, but it should fit in any reasonable sized car. As a guess, about 18" high & deep, and about 24" wide. about 30Kg(ish)

I measured the box, it is 18" deep, 16" front to back, and 21" wide.

Here are the pictures..

That is cool, a tidy set up for sure, if nobody has it before I'm your way again I'll call and pick it up, not sure when I'm working away again though.
