Does a T2 SE+ have front fog lights? Under the bumper is just two grille plates...

I'd love an owners manual, anyone have one for sale?

Yes they have front fog lights but they are built into the headlights & not down in the bumper like a lot of 4x4's where they can get damaged easily or filled up with water

My T2 is an early one (1994) and the grilles set into the bumper you describe are foglights on mine (factory fitment on the SLX, which is what mine is).

It seems Nissan fitted all sorts of different "extras" throughout the model run, some had sunroofs but others had aircon, some had headlight washers, some didn't. It may have been that these were offered as an optional extra when the car was brand new.

Ah right, built into the headlights, the inner small round lights?

Yep!

Go around and see the motor and take some pics. You need this car :thumb2

I'm just itching to get my hands on it, but I have a nasty feeling it's all going to go t!ts up at the MOT station. If I can get a year out of it, that would be great, anything else is a bonus. Hopefully I would be able to get most of the little outlay back if I have to scrap it?

Your over worrying Paff it's a Nissan not a LR:lol mine will be going in for it's MOT soon & know it'll fail as one of the factory brake pipes is now looking past it's best but it is 9 years old:augie my last Terrano never failed a MOT in the time I had it infact spent very little on it at all

Don't judge your car by the horror stories you've seen on here so far. The chassis on the thread posted today is well out of the ordinary. Yes newer terranos we're not as well built as earlier ones but not to that extent. Have you been to have a look at it? Then do so and have a good mosey and get it started. Bet it fires up straight away if battery not flat

I saw it a week ago, had been standing for month and fired first turn of the key. I did have a brief look under it, but not fully. I did think it looked quite rusty/flakey underneath. We shall see :thumb2

They all look like that TBH as the poor things never got undersealed from the factory:doh but when I undersealed mine the flakey stuff was mainly just the paint & a bit of rust coming off the chassis. The chassis thread is the worst i've ever seen & really feel for the member:( TBH Terrano's like other motors do get problems now & again but members on here seem to go hunting for the slightest thing then report back on what they have managed to find then everyone else go's looking for the same thing we just suffer badly from OCD when it comes to our motors:lol:augie
