Having now had the car nearly 2 months, I have decided to give the patrol a service, oils filters etc. Especially as the environment on site is a little dusty

I have been quoted £178 just for the fluids, does that sound right?

Thats engine oil, diffs x2, transfer box, ATF, and filters etc

diff oil is very expencive about £80 a tub. plus you other bits it is probably about right.

£8 of that will be for the water to wash it down if you are on a water meter.:lol:lol

No meter :augie

We have a water meter at home:doh, I now harvest rain water with 2 x 1000 litre IBC's underground and another 1000 litres above ground in water butts.

This is used to maintain the pond level, and supply water to my automatic solar powered watering system.

I might even use it for car washing and for the down stairs loo, with some filtering.

My water come from a spring, filtered and pumped into an 8000 lt storage tank, got no electric either, solar and batteries and when needed a genny, Oh and hot water comes from solar as well, Rick

Reminds me of " Peckham spring water" can you bottle it?

I have had it tested and it is good, although iron content is high, have bottled some and given to people who like to drink water and all said great, but I am not a water drinker (I like coke) so cannot say, but no do not think selling it would be viable, what with the compensation culture we have to today, Rick

probably bubbling up through all those old Terranos you have:lol:lol

High iron content, made from "Girders.."
Never did the old black smiths any harm, they used to drink the water from the cooling trough, good if you suffer from anaemia.
