ive taken center consul off to find why i cant select windscreen.to find someone has tried to tywrap the outer sleeve in place.when the selector gets to windscreen it pushes the sleeve so wont select.anyone know what should hold ouer cable or any suggestions please. hope ive not confused.

No I'm with you, its a Bowden cable and the outer sleeve, which should be held rigidly, isn't.....

Can't remember exactly how it was fixed but think it was some kind of metal spring clip....could try Nissan but scrapper might be a better bet unless one of our breakers on here can find one?
 
Cheers sorted now.used a plastic cable p clip.fitted a piece of bleed pipe over cable to stop sleeve slipping fitted p clip. with a long screwdriver fitted with a self tapper.jobs a goodun.
