fixed cb mount

whilst had no problem with mag mount and stinger looking to mount rig permanently
in dash, in cubby hole above head unit. plan being that might use it more if set up.

cant really leave twig wire thru door seal, done it once and after rains storm car was
flooded, years ago and mum wasnt impressed!

recently saw a disco with a mount on d? pillar. not best position for uniform ground
frame but can get to easily as driver to add/remove.

also wondered about front wing drivers side opposite electric aerial.

avoiding roof proper in case fouls a roof rack project ever.

anyone done this, suppose a gutter mount is an option but then still looking at getting
cable into car.

probabably a silly question but could a dedicated electric aerial work, swr would be fun!

Back in the good old days of the 70s, when CB was totally illegal and very underground - and ****ers like me would sit in the pub giving it "10-4 good buddy" every time someone asked if I wanted a pint:doh - you could buy twigs that just looked like a standard sized whip car radio aerial and mounted on the wing as normal - they gave excellent coverage, and since most people tend to use CB in convoy, I wouldn't have seen any problem with a wing mount TBH.
