When i got my terrano i took the spare wheel off and noticed the door was rusted through where the holder was bolted, i think due to not being tightend on fully.

So i sanded the door and filled as needed. And covered it in a carbon wrap.

Looks nice

Nice job, keeps it tidy, beats spraying too :thumbs

Back in the day I used vinyl roof material!

Looks neat reminded me of when I had my Carlton 2.0 CDi back in 1990.
The lower part of a rear door had damaged paintwork with some rust along the bottom of the front doors. I sanded down, painted with Red Oxide paint then a couple of weeks later I obtained some free top grade Vinyl roof material.

I trimmed below the moulding on all four doors and on the first part of the front wings below the moulding line. The bumpers were the earlier black ones not colour keyed so the whole thing matched. It was a pig glueing the material round the door edges but with clothes pegs managed to get it to hold until all was dry.

Is the carbon wrap like a Fablon material with adhesive on the back or do you use a spray contact adhesive?

Thanks guys. Worked out much cheaper thrn a spray. I have the kit to do it but with all the mat to do it proper is like £60+ doin this was like £12 or so and looks original.

The vinyl wrap comes pre-adhered to go. And with it being a weave its air free so no bubbles.

Took about a half hour or so.
