HI all, t2 just passed mot today. With some advisery items on front brakes.Front brake discs slightly scored, front brakes olny just met the brake imbalance requirements, system may need adjustment or repair. Also nearside front wheel bearing has slight play. I am going to fitt new discs and pads, is there much work involved in this and anything to look out for?. Cheers in advance mont.

you have to remove the brake caliper assembly, free wheeling hub, wheel bearing lock nut and washer.the complete hub unit pulls off.watch out as the bearing will drop out.
the brake disc is held on by six 14mm bolts.
once the bolts are out turn the hub unit over and rest on a couple of blocks of wood and tap the disc off the hub.
mine where pretty tight so i had to give them a good smack to get them off.
it's much easier to assemble them.you can also take up the play in the wheel bearing at the same time as you have to remove it any way.
took me about an hour a side to change the discs and pads.

Discs

I've got to mine soon and was wondering if there are any upgrade discs about?
Like grooved nd better pads?
Maynot be needed but thought while I was there!:thumbs
