Fitting a intercooler help
To my terrano friends, I'm wanting to fit my intercooler to turn Toby into a TDI, I've sorted out how i'll fit the intercooler at the turbo end, but at the inlet it won't fit, so I'm going to have to get a TDI intake manifold....or so I thought
do you think I could just change the butterfly valve thingy that sits on top of the inlet manifold?
As the td's valve comes up out the manifold, then angles for the iron pipe to link between the Inlet and turbo, however, the TDI's valve just angles straight up vertical without the right angle bend, as its here between the intake manifold and turbo where the intercooler fits.
If I can just change the valve, it'll save changing the entire manifold, be cheaper too, I'm aware the valve bolts on and off the manifold, but I'm not sure if the fitmant is the same, or the holes in the manifold are a different shape, or if everything lines up
Any help would be appreciated
